How Botox Works?

Botox®, is the popular wrinkle softening treatment approved for cosmetic use in 2006.  Our specialist aesthetics specialist, Shirley RN will select anti-wrinkle treatments, such as Botox®, to help you stave off the ageing process.  Safe and straightforward, treatments can be used alongside other treatments such as dermal fillers to achieve an extremely youthful results.

Botox® is injected into to the dynamic facial muscles responsible for the creation of wrinkles; it relaxes these facial muscles and keep them from contracting to restore a more youthful appearance.

• V-neck lines
• Frown forehead lines and around the eyes
• Crow’s feet
• Hyperhidrosis (decreases sweating)
• Migraines
• Jaw line giving a Nefertiti look
• Lip flips (enhancing upper lip definition)

It works by relaxing the muscle that its injected into, this limits the repetitive muscle movements that can cause lines and wrinkles. This can help prevent the formulation of new lines, and soften and improve existing lines and reduce wrinkles.

Subtle reshaping and lift can be applied to the shape of your brow, face and eyes creating a younger, fresher looking you.

A Botox® anti wrinkle treatment uses tiny needles, which you can barely even feel. It is not painful and rarely causes any visible effect, so no one will even know you have had it. The treatment will last for around four to six months and can then be followed with a top up to maintain your looks.

It is entirely reversible, so if left to completely wear off, your natural lines will reappear.

Botox® can also be used to reduce excessive perspiration (hyperhidrosis) and treatments are extremely effective, quickly reducing this sometimes embarrassing condition.
